About The JSON Converter

How it works

When you open a tool and choose a file, the file is read and processed locally in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. For the tools on this site, nothing is uploaded to a server — the work happens on your own device.

Because there is no server round-trip, most operations are fast and work even on slower connections.

Free and no sign-up

Every core tool is free to use and does not require an account. There is no paywall for basic operations.

Private by design

Privacy here is a technical property, not just a promise: your documents never leave your device, so there is nothing for us to see, store, or leak.

Some tools on our other sites must contact an external service to function — DNS lookups, for instance. Any tool that needs to send data off your device says so on its own page, before you use it.

Each tool page explains exactly what the tool does, the options available, and any limitations — so you always know what to expect.
