Files you process

The JSON and data tools on this site run entirely in your browser. Your documents are read locally and never transmitted to our servers or any third party. We cannot see them, their contents, their names, or their metadata.

A few tools on our related sites must query an external service to work at all — DNS lookups contact public resolvers, for example. Where that is the case, it is stated on the tool's page before you use it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which tools get used and where the site is slow or broken. In the EEA and the UK it loads only after you accept analytics in the consent banner — until then, and permanently if you decline, no Google Analytics code is fetched at all. Everywhere else it starts when you arrive: the banner says so on your first visit, and one click there, or in "Cookie settings" later, switches it off.

What it records is ordinary web measurement: which pages you open, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, and the device and browser you are using. It never receives what you work with — nothing you type, upload, or look up is ever sent to it. We run no advertising, so ad personalisation and Google Signals stay switched off and none of this is used to target you.

You can change your mind at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops further measurement and withdraws our permission to keep the cookies listed in the cookie policy.

Separately, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) collects anonymous page-performance measurements for every visit, so we can see how fast the site actually loads for real people. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and cannot identify you or track you across other sites — so there is nothing to consent to, and nothing to withdraw. It cannot see the files you process either.

Advertising

We currently show no advertisements and load no advertising code. If advertising is introduced, it will be disclosed here and gated behind your consent where required.

Data stored in your browser

We store a few small preferences in your browser's local storage so the site behaves the way you expect:

• Your theme choice (light or dark).
• Your language choice.
• Optionally, "recently used tools" so you can find them again — stored only on your device.

The contact form

If you send us a message through the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are used solely to read and reply to your request. We do not use them for marketing.

Your rights

Because the tools do not collect personal data, there is generally nothing for us to hold about you. If you have contacted us, you can ask us to delete the message you sent. Use the contact form for any privacy request.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date shown above.
