{ } How to use
- Type the temperature you want to convert.
- Pick the scale you have in From and the scale you want in To — the result updates as you change them.
{ } How it works
Temperature Converter works on the text you provide. Adjust the options, then select Process ▸ and it runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded to a server — then shows the result in the Output panel.
Inputs
- Temperature — paste or type your input in the left panel (use Sample for an example)
- From — choose one — Celsius (°C), Fahrenheit (°F), Kelvin (K), Rankine (°R) (default: Celsius (°C))
- To — choose one — Celsius (°C), Fahrenheit (°F), Kelvin (K), Rankine (°R) (default: Fahrenheit (°F))
Output
TXT text — copy or download it from the Output panel.
{ } Common uses
- Read an oven, a weather report or a datasheet written in the other scale.
- Convert a lab or engineering figure into Kelvin for a calculation that needs an absolute scale.
- Check a threshold in a spec — a storage range, a trip point — against the units your instrument shows.
{ } Limitations
- Temperature scales have offsets, not just factors, so a difference does not convert the same way a reading does: 10 °C warmer is 18 °F warmer, not 50 °F warmer.
- Nothing stops you converting below absolute zero. −500 °C is not a physical temperature, but it will still produce a number.
{ } FAQ
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser — your files never leave your device.
Can I process more than one file at once?
This tool works on one input at a time.
Is this tool free?
Yes — it’s completely free and needs no sign-up.
Which scale should I use for a calculation?
Kelvin, wherever the physics needs an absolute scale — gas laws, thermodynamics, colour temperature. Celsius and Fahrenheit have arbitrary zeros, so ratios between them are meaningless.
